THANK YOU FOR SUBSCRIBING

Doug Logeman, Director & Robert Logeman, President and CEOHowever, the growing variety of products, complexities of applications, and emerging customer needs demand equipment manufacturers to customize monoblock systems from the ground up. It can be a challenging proposition, but agile manufacturers like Chase-Logeman Corporation, who have flexibility and innovation built into their design and manufacturing processes, are equipped to deliver systems that are just right for their customers.
A leading manufacturer of monoblock style precision filling machinery, Chase-Logeman is a fourth-generation, family-owned company that has been providing customized solutions to the most challenging container filling and closing problems for over six decades.
The company's foundation was laid in 1939 by serial entrepreneur Christian William Logeman, the grandfather of current Director Doug Logeman. His knowledge and passion have been passed on for generations to create the highest quality, reliable monoblock filling systems that are marked by unparalleled simplicity, longevity, and ease of operation.

Chase-Logeman's semi and fully automatic systems are widely used by emerging and mid-market companies across different industries, including pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, food, chemicals, and cosmetics.
Larger Productivity Packed into a Smaller Footprint
Chase-Logeman's compact, all in-one filling systems have made it possible for emerging companies to automate their bottle-filling line using combinations of different modules, depending on the specific task.
"Clients who are hand filling and hand processing their products can use our systems to automate and streamline their operations and maximize profitability," says Doug Logeman.
Chase-Logeman's low- to medium-speed filling machines are specifically designed for the second and third phase of a clinical trial, where clients need to produce sterile products in smaller batches. These machines are capable of producing 50 to 60 vials a minute and can be installed in smaller spaces. In essence, the systems not only automate the packaging line but solve the problem of limited space in facilities.
Unlike competitors with their off-the-shelf solutions, Chase-Logeman incorporates different components, like filling pumps and label applicators from clients' preferred brands, into its equipment.
"We don't make machines for stock, and we never build the same machine twice. Each one is customized to a client's specific needs," says Robert Logeman, President and CEO Chase-Logeman Corporation.
Following its rich, decades-old legacy, Chase-Logeman stays humble enough to dedicate personal attention to its clients and deliver machines that exceed their expectations. When companies purchase a Chase-Logeman system, they get a partner they can rely on.
Upon engaging with a client, the Chase-Logeman team creates a proposal based on their requirements and proceeds with the equipment building after receiving the confirmation of the order. From day one, clients have constant access to a dedicated project manager. Chase-Logeman completes the development process while keeping the clients updated on each phase of the timeline. After multiple design reviews, the Chase-Logeman team conducts a factory acceptance test with clients to allow them to check the machine's features, pace, and functioning.![]()

Once the testing is complete and the machinery is accepted by the clients, it is shipped to client sites. Chase-Logeman sends its technicians to help clients get up and running and train them to use the machine effectively.

Chase-Logeman provides continuous service and training for all current machines, as well as those built for clients over the years. Its experts always remain on their toes to react to client needs.
Serving with Customer-First Attitude
The Chase-Logeman team's commitment to serving clients was evident during their engagement with a pharmaceutical company that needed to configure their existing equipment. The client wanted to manufacture prototype samples of a new product for market evaluation, without deploying new systems. However, the components required to fill and screw cap this new product could not be retrofitted to the existing equipment. It needed an entirely new container format along with tamper-evident and child-resistant closure features.
Chase-Logeman's engineering team developed and implemented temporary alterations to the client's existing equipment to enable them to produce the evaluation samples needed to qualify the product for full production. The alterations included a safe, semi-automatic cap feeding and torquing system to complete the package in the existing machine.
The evaluation and marketing samples received positive feedback, and Chase-Logeman designed and built a complete production line for the product, including multiple sizes in different formats, processed on the same machine.
Chase-Logeman also demonstrated to the client how to automate product quality inspection requirements, documenting the operational parameters using proven technology. This enabled the production staff to concentrate on other aspects of the packaging process and bring their products to market quickly, while meeting productivity and quality targets.
Chase-Logeman serves many startups and small-scale manufacturers with facility constraints. The company helps these clients to get their foot in the door and maximize profits through automation. Chase-Logeman also serves multi-billion-dollar companies like BD, Pfizer, and GlaxoSmithKline.
Evolving with the Industry Trends
As a U.S.-based manufacturer, Chase-Logeman designs, tests, and manufactures the systems in a single location, in Greensboro, North Carolina. The company works with domestic suppliers to source components and quickly build equipment for clients. This is why Chase-Logeman could easily deliver on clients' needs during the pandemic when most companies struggled with supply chain issues. The company also stays abreast of the best practices for bottle filling and cap torquing, and recently incorporated check weighing and sterilization features in filling systems.
Chase-Logeman follows CGMP regulations to ensure its products remain relevant in terms of performance. With a growing demand for proven systems that deliver unsurpassed operator protection and advanced cGMP aseptic process adherence, the company is receiving great traction for its cGMP liquid-filling barrier isolator products.

"Our engineers and designers study the latest in cGMP's, laminar air flow, sterile room designs, aseptic filling and barrier isolation technology, mechanical designs and ergonomics, and any other area that can help provide our customers with better solutions," says Doug Logeman. Experts at Chase-Logeman also attend trade shows and marketplace conferences to stay abreast of the changes happening in the industry and keep their machines current and relevant.
Backed by a knowledgeable and highly experienced team, Chase-Logeman will continue to build robust monoblock systems that can meet all liquid filling needs.
