CelluComp has introduced Curran, a microfibrillated cellulose product derived from discarded root vegetables, into an innovative pulp mixture that also includes bamboo and bagasse. This combination has reportedly yielded a robust material with minimal porosity. The resulting pulp is utilized as a thin lining inside bottles, serving as an alternative to plastic liners.
The recent validation of the all-fibre bottle design by the Danish Technological Institute (DTI) marks a significant development. This advancement is expected to have positive implications for various industries such as beverages, beauty, healthcare, medicine, food, and retail.
